Furoshiki Wrapping Cloth
Furoshiki, traditional Japanese wrapping cloths, are multi-purpose style statement pieces that can double as sustainable gift-wrapping or impromptu, chic tote bags — a foldable fabric superhero that champions nature, health, and thoughtful, timeless craftsmanship.
Each Furoshiki is crafted upon order by Cozo Cazama in Japan and will be shipped separately from the other items in your cart. May take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Description
Each furoshiki is made-to-order by Cozo Cazama, one of the few remaining masters of the traditional Japanese art of aizome (Japanese hand-dyed indigo). The faint, earthy smell testifies to the high quality of fermented indigo dyes rich in antibacterial, skin soothing properties that has been prized by Japanese samurai and cultures around the world for centuries. Made using our unbleached organic cotton fabric, this miniature masterpiece will be your healthy, eco-friendly sidekick for years to come.
Mizuhiki (Flowing Water): Mizuhiki reflects the graceful power of water, the wisdom of flow, and the ephemeral beauty of the impermanence of life.
Hanakotoba (Flower Language): Expressing what words cannot, Hanakatoba conveys heartfelt emotion through the symbolism of flowers.
